CREATING OUR FESTIVAL GARDENS 2019

Well I have been looking forward to getting my teeth into this project. We have Tanks coming -and hopefully some rain to fill them-but going ahead with the gardens & landscaping anyway. I've always had big spaces to work with- and always wanted more?  so an almost unlimited space will really test my creative skills. So I can really go to town now -with trees- shrubs- Banks- maybe even a Water feature? I originally planned a big eco dam-right where (King Parrot Camp) is -but needless to say it would take up prime realeastate ? Nevertheless it is an exciting project & anyone who wants to come & help- to plan-to plant- you are most welcome- Volunteers are very welcome!  I have already had plants donated- some Iris's- some bits & pieces- but we will need so much - must be hardy though?  Here are some photo's of our humble beginnings!

  • OUR LITTLE GARDENER!

Thanks to Barry & Julie for donating some little people-ornaments & bits & pieces-most appreciated.

  • OUR TEE PEES-

The kids loved our Tee pees- all lit up at night- beside the Fairy Garden - and a nice big Sandpit-

  • FAIRY GARDEN

Early days yet- special thanks to Jules- who was amazing? Our magic Mushrooms- I purchased locally- but Silver Pots- little pathways- Jules went to so much effort!

  • OUR FESTIVAL GARDENS

River grass- Azalea- African Daisies- Jules - great big red pot! It was a tough call planning a garden with everything so dry- trying to bring some green to a dust bowl?

  • FAIRY FOREST SIGN

Our signage was wonderful this year- big thanks to Sandy -and to Jules- both great Volunteers!

  • OUR FAIRY FOREST

This was a bit of a stretch this year-but over time I'm sure we will create the illusion of a real forest !
